On August 5 & August 20, 2008 Bears 4 Kids sponsored three interactive drumming sessions for children at Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special.

DRUM CAFE NY provided an unforgettable experience for over 200 children with cancer or serious chronic illness. A team of world class drummers and a facilitator guided the children through a motivational and unifying performance that was received with incredible enthusiasm and joy.

Camp Simcha Program Director Shaindy Lowenthal said, "The campers and staff of Camp Simcha absolutely LOVED Drum Cafe. The crowd was mesmerized by the palpable energy and was caught up in the rhythm in the room. Thank you, Bears 4 Kids!"

Drum Cafe facilitator Pavel Lempert commented, "The experience at Camp Simcha was phenomenal. The camp lived up to its name with a sheer joy and celebration that was absolutely marvelous. Drum Cafe normally helps create a certain type of energy, however last night, we just rode the wave! What an experience!"

We thank Drum Cafe and Camp Simcha for enabling us to lift the spirits of these incredible kids, and for adding even more energy and happiness to the abundance that is so evident at this wonderful summer camp.
