On June 5, 2009, Joseph B. Sprung, President and Founder of Bears 4 Kids, was honored at a successful SLCD fundraiser held at the Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage, NY. He was presented with a special award for his altruism and for the inclusion of SLCD in his Empowerment Program.
