On April 28, 2004, Joe Sprung and Leora Borzak distributed teddy bears to children at Schneider’s Children's Medical Center of Israel, the leader in pediatric care in Israel. After learning about Bears 4 Kids, Leora and her friends made teddy bears at her bat-mitzvah celebration, for the purpose of giving them away to children in hospitals. She was a true Bat Mitzvah in the full sense of the word. Bears 4 Kids flew Leora to Israel to personally distribute the teddy bears.
