JOSEPH B. SPRUNG HOSTS BBQ FOR OHEL FOSTER CHILDREN

Westhampton Beach, NY, July 10 – Joseph B. Sprung, president and founder of Bears 4 Kids hosted a bar-be-que at his home in Westhampton Beach with 200 guests in attendance.

Mr. Sprung played host to close to two dozen children and volunteers from Ohel Children’s Home, who enjoyed swimming, tennis and great food along with other guests. OHEL serves people with developmental disabilities, psychiatric disabilities and families in crisis in the Jewish community. Among its many programs are foster care and adoption services. “Once again Joe has shown what a compassionate and devoted friend he is to children,” said OHEL’s president, Moishe Hellman. “Joe brought lots of happiness to some of our foster care children who have led a tough life. It was a special and memorable day in the Hamptons for the children of OHEL, and we are grateful to Joe for his generosity of spirit and genuine concern.”

As the children were leaving, Mr. Sprung presented them with a “Bears 4 Kids” teddy bear. “I am very grateful to have these foster children at my home,” said Mr. Sprung. “They had a wonderful time and credit is due to the Ohel volunteers for making this happen.”

Bears 4 Kids enriches the lives of children suffering with cancer and other diseases with the gift of a therapeutic teddy bear. Mr. Sprung, however, sees it as his personal mission to bring joy to any child facing adverse circumstances.
